Imara Art Auction

When: Mon 28 July - Sun 3 August

Where: Nottingham Society of Artists

The viewing week begins for Imara's charity art auction. Imara is a specialist charity that supports children, young people and their families following a disclosure or discovery of child sexual abuse and domestic abuse. Local and professional artists UK wide have donated their stunning pieces - including small prints, sculptures and limited edition works. If you're looking for something unique to spruce up your space then go along and have some bidding fun.

Collage N' Cocktails

When: Wed 30 July

Where: The Carousel

One of the city's most beloved artistic spaces, The Carousel, is hosting a collage and cocktails night. The event is exactly as it sounds, full of cut and stick collage fun and fruity alcoholic (and non-alcoholic) beverages for you to enjoy. After all, quenching always aids creation. If you're looking for a stress-free, fun, and cheap creative activity to do with your friends or solo then this cosy, community space is the perfect place to be on a Wednesday evening after a long day.

City Arts Summer Fundraiser w/ Higgs Bo’sun

When: Fri 1 Aug

Where: City Arts

How much: £10

Join City Arts for an evening of traditional folk music, of both Irish and British origins, and drinks to keep the sing-a-longs going. The Nottingham-based band, Higgs Bo’sun, is a fusion of five multi-instrumentalists and vocalists, who's transcendental harmonies and thoughtful arrangements are honey to the ears will be playing, along with Notts-based singer and guitarist Chris Punter.

Joey Collins + The Bushido Code

When: Fri 1 Aug

Where: The Bodega

Joey Collins is a Notts-based singer-songwriter who has garnered praise and support from BBC Introducing and Sportify for his melancholic, mature sound and lyrical dexterity. With a sound inspired by great musical names such as Jeff Buckley and Thom Yorke, this artist is one to watch, and in one of Nottingham's most beloved venues, this is a show you don't want to miss.

The Trent Navigation Yard Party - Loud Planet & Harleighblu ( DJ Set )

Where: Trent Navigation Inn

Wanting to start your August the right way? Trent Navigation Inn is hosting an outdoor party bustling with live music, food, drinks, and even live art from some of Nottingham's most talented street artists. Nottingham record label presents their incredible music line-up and Harleighblu will be playing a spectacular DJ set, amongst many other amazing acts. Expect reggae music, Caribbean and Asian food as well as mouth-watering Indian tapas.
