Victoria Centre and Clumber Street will be abuzz with activity, excitement and student friendly deals that are promised to be bigger, better, and bolder than ever before. This event, organised by It’s in Nottingham, offers our local student population live DJs, games, competitions and the chance to bag free and discounted stuff from lots of local shops. We’re told that Robin Hood himself will also be in attendance, so it’s a chance to grab that ultimate selfie to celebrate your new favourite city.
My Life in Light: Photography Exhibition

When it comes to capturing Nottinghamshire in all its beauty, nobody’s done it quite like Tracey Whitefoot, who currently has an exhibition on display at Nottingham Central Library. Featured are 65 images from her wide array of landscape photography, depicting scenes and iconic landmarks from around Nottinghamshire, including Sherwood Forest, Newstead Abbey, Wollaton Hall, and Trent Bridge. Sir Derek Jacobi will appear in conversation with Richard Clifford at Nottingham Playhouse this Tuesday. An iconic name in British film and theatre, Jacobi is a founding member of the National Theatre, and multi award winner as recipient of BAFTA, Olivier, Emmy, Screen Guild and Tony Awards for Shakespeare work (including Hamlet, Othello) and screen roles (I, Claudius, Gladiator, The Crown, among others). Richard Clifford, actor and producer, long-term partner of Jacobi, leads the conversation. The evening promises insight into a rich career across stage, screen and beyond.

Matsiko – a British‑Ugandan singer‑songwriter from Nottingham – is known for his emotionally powerful voice and intimate folk‑inspired sound. He gained acclaim with his debut album The King of Misery, which explores themes like depression, bipolar disorder, hope and vulnerability. This show follows his sold‑out appearance in Nottingham in 2024, promising a memorable evening of lyrical depth and musical connection. Support comes from Cecile Grey and Ashaine White. The Woolly Tellers present: The Grave Robbers of Nottingham

Kick off spooky season and round off your week with some atmospheric tales from The Woolly Tellers. With over a decade of experience in storytelling, Dave Brookes brings intrigue, rich imagery and dark historical tales of Nottingham. Previous shows include Fen Giants and Marsh Horrors, A Most Victorian Murder, and Dark Tales for Dark Nights, but this time they're tackling an even more grisly topic... bodysnatching.
