This exhibition showcases the scroll paintings of Li Qingyu, a nationally recognised artist based in Ningbo and Director of the Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Association. With over 60 years of experience, Li Qingyu is a master of his craft. While renowned for his elegant freehand paintings of Chinese ladies, this exhibition also features his powerful depictions of flowers and birds, demonstrating his remarkable versatility. His works have been exhibited and collected worldwide.

This is a stage adaptation of a 1943 crime novel – widely thought of as one of the twentieth century’s greatest – which, in turn, inspired a film noir classic. This production sees acclaimed film actress Mischa Barton make her on-stage debut – set in 1930s Los Angeles, the story follows characters Walter Huff and Phylis Nirdlinger as they find themselves drawn into a life of crime. It was adapted by Tom Hollaway, while the director of this production is Oscar Toeman.

Come and join Alan Micklethwaite, a skilled sculptor, stone carver, and conservator, with over thirty-years experience in historic building conservation. He presents a one-hour talk giving insight into traditional, historic techniques and modern stone carving processes involved in repairing historic monuments, buildings, and sculptures. If you miss this event, or attend and enjoy it, it's probably worth putting his 14 March stone carving workshop on the calendar as well.

American heavy-metal band, Fozzy, take a trip to Nottingham’s Rock City - they take on its famous stage, delivering an evening of music filled with high-volume distorted guitar riffs and powerful drum beats. With supporting acts from English outfit Tailgunner, and female-led group, Marisa And The Moths, this multi-act bill promises engaging music all evening.

In collaboration with a RESONATE, The Chapel and The Angel Microbrewery are hosting a free deep and liquid drum and bass event, spanning both floors of the Hockley pub. Whether you're an aficionado for underground dance music, or even just a passing fan, this will likely be a really memorable and exciting event. The Angel's atmosphere is already unparalleled, but combined with that there'll be pro sound quality and a carefully curated line-up. Certainly a Valentine's Day unlike any other.
