Bryan Johnson, Sting, Neil Tennant, Little Mix, Cheryl, Sam Fender… the North-East is truly the musical gift that keeps on giving. It often leaves us asking, “Can there be any more phenomenal acts ready to join the hall of fame?” The answer is yes, and his name is Finn Forster. For anyone who missed out on his show at The Bodega, here’s why you need to grab tickets when he inevitably returns to Nottingham...
If anyone on the up-and-coming music scene has had a life-changing year, it’s Finn Forster. In 2025, he supported the legendary Stereophonics on their summer stadium tour, which then snowballed into joining them for their European and UK winter arena tour. Beyond that, Finn made his festival debut across the pond and earned countless plays on BBC Introducing, alongside prime-time airplay on Radio 1.
Opportunities like these only come to artists with genuine talent, and after witnessing his Bodega debut, it was clear to see that Finn has exactly that. Just a week after the release of his latest single Strangers, Finn treated the crowd to a live rendition that offered an even deeper insight into the beauty of his lyricism and songwriting.
Finn is full of stories to tell, and as he revealed during the show, there are plenty more to come. He is working on an album, having already narrowed down around 30 songs to seven strong contenders. It’s a release that has become highly anticipated among his growing fan base.
Alongside the newer material, Finn wowed the audience with some of his most popular tracks, including Pablo, On My Mind, and Circles. Each song received a thunderous reception, with fans singing back every word and creating the kind of atmosphere only a Nottingham crowd can deliver.
Finn also shared the amusing story behind Can’t Back Down, dating back to his days as a wedding singer. The melody of the song caused him to be late for an event, but ultimately, he has no regrets, as it became the track that kick-started his solo career.
Having previously seen Finn supporting JADE and Stereophonics, my expectations heading into The Bodega were already high. It is safe to say he exceeded them. Finn, his tremendously talented backing band, and the songs they deliver are truly something to behold. He is far more than just another musician with a guitar singing songs. Finn represents the next generation of artists who will go on to amaze listeners around the world and inspire future musicians in the making. Finn Forster is here, and he is here to stay.
Finn Forster performed at The Bodega on 4th June 2026.
