There are few filmmakers with a body of work as consistently praised as Paul Thomas Anderson; to date, he has made 10 feature films, including 2025’s upcoming One Battle After Another, all of which have demonstrated his unique voice as both writer and director, his skill in drawing career-best performances from his cast and his ability to jump between genres while still maintaining a sense that these are all Polaroids from the mind of the same creator. Over 10 weeks, tutor Kenton Hall will be deep-diving into each film: their geneses, their casts and their production.
