Igor Stravinsky Suite
An imaginative programme of lesser-known works performed by award-winning Fenella Humphreys and Martin Roscoe. Melancholic and impressionistic pieces by Arthur Honegger, Rebecca Clarke and Dorothy Howell date from the 1920s. Adrian Sutton’s Violin Concerto, written for Humphreys, won the BBC Music Magazine Premiere Award in 2025. His short Eulogy receives its world premiere a few days prior to the performance at Lakeside. The concert concludes with Stravinsky’s suite from the ballet Pulcinella.
