How to Build a World Of Your Own

For anyone with an interest in writing fantasy or science-fiction. An introduction to worldbuilding, for example maps, histories, cultures, magic and technology. The session includes pair work, writing practice and quizzes. No previous writing experience neccessary and those in the early stages of writing their imaginary world will find the course useful.    

Outcomes: To build skill and knowledge on worldbuilding, and gain confidence as a writer

Tutor: Nottingham writer Ian C Douglas is the award-winning author of the Zeke Hailey sci-fi novels. A prolific writer of sci-fi and fantasy short stories, his work has had two Eisner nominations, and won the Gravity Award, the Eyeland Award, the CLA Global Award, The Gertrude Warner Award, as well as Nottingham's Best Children’s Author.
