A regular performer on the London and UK jazz circuit, with success of four highly acclaimed albums, award-winning music videos, performance in New York and sell-out shows here at Peggy’s Skylight and at world-renowned Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, Kim has firmly secured her reputation as a leading figure in contemporary jazz and a much-loved artist on the UK jazz circuit.
Inspired by the funkier side of jazz and having studied alongside US saxophonist Pee Wee Ellis and internationally acclaimed jazz saxophonist Andy Sheppard, Kim will captivate you in a spellbinding performance, sharing positive energy through her music and audience repartee.
Together with her highly respected band, Kim will perform an eclectic, lively mix of jazz, blues, Latin swing and funky grooves from her new album ‘LIVE and Smiling’. This special night at Peggy’s Skylight launches the release of ‘LIVE and Smiling’ on limited edition vinyl. The album was recorded at two sellout shows here at Peggy’s Skylight back in February together with the band’s recent performance at Cheltenham Jazz Festival.
