An Evening With M.l. Rio

We are delighted to welcome M.L. Rio to Waterstones Nottingham to celebrate the release of her new novel, Hot Wax.

The highly anticipated new novel from M. L. Rio, bestselling author of If We Were Villains and Graveyard Shift.

A nostalgic love-letter to the 90s rock and roll scene, Hot Wax follows a band of rocker misfits, rivals and trailblazers on the tour that could have catapulted them to super-stardom, if it all hadn't come crashing down.

M.L. Rio will discuss her new book before an audience Q&A and book signing.

M. L. Rio has been an actor, a bookseller, an academic, and a music writer. She holds an MA in Shakespeare studies and a PhD in English literature. She is the author of the internationally bestselling novel If We Were Villains and the USA Today bestselling novella Graveyard Shift. Her next novel, Hot Wax, will be published by Simon & Schuster in September 2025.
